Fayette County Students attend Youth Ambassador Leadership Conference at UK
Fayette County students gathered at the University of Kentucky’s Gatton School on Saturday February 26, 2022 to participate in the Youth Ambassador Leadership Conference where students served as ambassadors for their schools and heard from leaders from across the state.
Congressman Andy Barr (KY-06) expressed thanks to “The University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky for hosting our event and a special thanks to all of our guest speakers who participated.”
Speakers included West Point Grad and Battalion Commander of the 489th Civil Affairs Battalion LTC Jason Halligan; Kentucky Welding Institute Director Adam Hinton; Judge Melissa Moore Murphy; Commerce Lexington president Bob Quick; US Secret Service Agent, Centre College grad, and Lexington native Jon Oldham; UK’s Josh Taylor; and Lexington’s fire chief, Jason Wells.
